Just recently a survey of over 5,000 business leaders and staff found that over 40 percent of British companies said their business models will cease to exist in the next five years thanks to artificial intelligence (AI).

The figure is not that surprising given over 50 percent of Britain's business leaders that were asked said the do not have an AI strategy!

File that under the heading of "Thinks that make you go hmmm and scratch your head."

Well, may be or may be not. AI is taking some jobs, but creating other demands. These businesses may not need to develop their AI competence with their own resources, they may buy it. Or cooperate, develop new business models. It indeed requires some strategic thinking and ability to execute the vision, but they not need to decease without AI. And if that happens, well, then the company probably was not really viable in long term.

What is impressive is that new technologies have an impact that is faster each time. Just look back from industrialization age to introduction of robots or introduction of the Internet to online shopping...

How fast will be the next one?
