| We are rapidly moving to a highly connected world. Singularity Hub reported that by 2025 there will likely be 100 billion connected devices. They call it the "trillion-sensor economy." Multiple sources have estimated that data will grow to between 160 and 170 zettabytes by 2025 - that has so many 0s (zeros). That is about a10X increase from today. Some believe that over one-quarter will need real-time processing and analytics.
Now think about all the data that will be produced!
Happy Holiday's to all and stay safe!

| Wow - some of these stats are eye-opening and quite concerning.
A recently published stat is cause for great concern. Did you realize that MOST organizations have a 70 percent project failure rate. This is one of many stats that have just been published
Just think how these stats would increase on new and emerging technologies we have ZERO experience with, no Best Practices and no benchmarks.

| A very interesting question came up at one of my webinars. Concerns were raised about how professionals do or would feel about an artificial intelligence based machine/device subject matter expert watching over your shoulder and making recommendations and suggestions.
That is a very interesting and quite intriguing question. The general opinion appears to be - NOT VERY HAPPY. Just something to think about that might come of age in the next several years.

| Artificial Intelligence (AI) is receiving allot of attention these days and many feel for good reason. One interesting question has surfaced multiple times in the last few weeks. No matter how much effort we put into the development and testing and safeguards we have in place, AI systems will likely make an error upon occasion. So the question is, who should be held accountable for those errors?
The system owner, the system developer, the vendor of the AI technology products used or someone else – What do you think?
What happens if the AI mistake results in the loss of a human life?

| Just recently a survey of over 5,000 business leaders and staff found that over 40 percent of British companies said their business models will cease to exist in the next five years thanks to artificial intelligence (AI).
The figure is not that surprising given over 50 percent of Britain's business leaders that were asked said the do not have an AI strategy!
File that under the heading of "Thinks that make you go hmmm and scratch your head."
