Hello Aisa – thanks for sharing this intriguing report! Although women have made great progress in the workplace, it amazes me that “it will take almost 50 years to reach parity for women” in corporations! I agree with the sentiments from others that we cannot advance unless we have the support from allies around us. Fortunately, we here at PMI have our Women in Project Management Project Team that was formed last year that contributes to the online community through webinars. We're also planning to develop “groups” in the community, one in which is dedicated to women in project management. Here’s a previous post that may offer some hope as we work to improve equality among women in workplace - https://www.projectmanagement.com/discussi...-women-in-pmi-. Again, many thanks for sharing and I look forward to reading others’ thoughts!

Hi Kimberly— thanks so much for sharing this information with me. I’ve been a member and PMP since 2020 and every day I always find something new and very helpful however sometimes it’s not inherently known. I would
love to offer any kind of support via volunteer opportunities, mentorship, and any other available opportunities for participating in any engagement activities especially related to project managers, women in the workplace. Thanks again for your help. I’ll make sure to check out the link and other resources mentioned.

Thank you for sharing!
I am slightly disappointed by the applicability of the McKinsey report, to be honest. It depicts a very dramatic image of the place of women in leadership roles but it doesn't actually provide insights into industries / companies / geographies where it actually works. The insights are a bit repetitive from one year to another and I am sure we can do more in tapping into the successful stories, analysing their cultures, real initiatives, and practices from recruitment to management, to retention and promotion.
Have you come across a more applicable research? I couldn't find any but would be happy to actually roll my sleeves and look into this!
This report makes us reflect that there is still a long way to go to achieve true equality between women and men. This disparity is more accentuated when it comes to women of color, older women, or women with disabilities. Women who have achieved a place in their professional field are shining examples, who show society their capacity and knowledge. Saving Changes...
